Junior Club 8-13 Race
The Buckmore Junior Club offers competitive sprint racing for junior kart drivers. Race meetings take place on the full International Circuit and all safety equipment is provided.
Each race meeting comprises of a short practice session for every driver which is followed by three points scoring heats for each driver to determine grid positions for the finals. All drivers will compete in a final.
In light of the latest government guidance, we have implemented strict new precautions to ensure the safety of you and the team. Before you book your session, it is important that you read through and understand the following information.
Only one parent or guardian can accompany the driver. No unnecessary public will be allowed on-site, this includes spectators.
Social distancing measures will be mandatory during your visit. The precautions we have taken will impact the way you move around Buckmore Park and there will be signage to help guide you. It is imperative that you follow social distancing measures at all times. We expect customers / drivers (to stick to government guidelines) to bring a mask to be worn when inside any of the buildings.
If you have or have had any symptoms of COVID-19 (high temperature, a new continuous cough, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) within the last 14 days, please do not complete your booking. Follow NHS guidance
We encourage you to bring your own racewear, including: Race Suit, Helmet & Gloves. If you do wish to use your own, the helmet must comply to British Standard or EU equivalent. Suits must be one piece overalls or bike leathers. Gloves must be full fingers. If you do not have your own equipment then you can use our equipment and there are also options to purchase your own balaclavas and gloves on the day if you would like to.

The minimum age to take part is 8 and the maximum age is 13. Potential drivers must have successfully completed a minimum of one training lesson at the Buckmore Kart School and a minimum of three Rookie Race meetings or similar and approved grades achieved elsewhere.
The total time at the circuit is approximately 3.5hrs from your arrival to departure.

12:00 - 14:00 Practice, 3 heats for each driver and a final for each driver.
14:15 Presentation of awards
The Buckmore Junior Club championship features 8 rounds of which the best 6 scores will count. This allows for a missed round or to drop a disappointing result.
The Junior Club is run in two separate age categories: Ages 8-13, & 13-16. The younger class use 160cc Junior Sodi Karts. The older class uses 390cc RT8 karts but are split into a further two subclasses: Lights(<55kg) and Standard (55kg>). This will be a separate race taking place later in the day. There are trophies for the top three in all classes.
As part of our COVID-19 precautions, spectators will not be allowed to attend.
The cafe will not be open during the session. Canned soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase from the sign in desk. We suggest you bring your own snacks.
Please bring comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, preferably trainers or similar flat shoes. All the safety equipment necessary will be provided.
Please check the weather forecast before you travel and pack a change of clothes if rain looks likely. Only in the most extreme weather conditions (i.e. ice or snow) will there be a possibility of your session being postponed or cancelled.
All payments made are non-refundable, it may be possible to transfer your booking, but, it would be subject to an admin fee.
